The young sailor Mateo Carbonell, representing the Club Náutico Jávea, has demonstrated his prowess in the water by winning the bronze medal at the European Optimist Championship held in Tssaloniki, Greece.
During the championship, Carbonell showed an impressive performance, surpassing himself day after day in each test and achieving excellent partial results. Thanks to his outstanding performance, he managed to secure a place in the gold group, ranking ninth.
On the first day of the gold group, the young sailor stood out even more, obtaining second places in several heats and becoming the best of all the participants in one of the tests. On the last day, Mateo went sailing with the bronze medal practically assured, thus crowning his successful participation in the European championship.
The Club Náutico Jávea sailor manages to put the finishing touch to a season full of successes, he was fourth in the Spanish Championship, and shows the level of the Club's optimist fleet, since last year another of the sailors also participated in this European event, and also won the bronze medal.
Carbonell was received this Monday by his fleet companions and their coaches at the Jávea Yacht Club.
