This past Saturday, Juan Ayuso, the young cyclist from Xàbia, won the bronze medal in the European Under-23 event held in Italy. The one from Xàbia was close to first place but in the final stretch Ayuso was surpassed by Thibau Nys and Filippo Baroncini, gold and silver, respectively. Still, Ayuso's performance was magnificent, showing this young promise, all of her potential.
Ayuso, UAE Team Emirates rider, was always at the head of the large group to try to toughen the 133-kilometer test up to Povo (3,6 km at 4,7%), which they repeated up to ten times. A tough test but in which the one from Xàbia managed to get on the podium and continue adding victories and medals to his record.
