The Provincial Council of Alicante has provided financial aid of 21.883 euros to the Department of Servicios Sociales from El Poble Nou de Benitatxell. An amount that will be allocated to various primary care programs such as the home help service, with a contribution of 17.221 euros. "This service provides autonomy to people who cannot perform daily tasks alone. Currently, about twenty residents of the municipality are benefiting from this program", has indicated the councilor of Social Services, Manolo Segarra.
On the other hand and within the Social Welfare Area, the Memory Workshop for the elderly will receive a total of 2.608 euros and the remaining 1.654 euros will be for the areas of legal and psychological counseling of Social Services. Psychological counseling is a process within the family intervention programs that is included in the program of equal opportunities and prevention of gender violence.
In addition, the department will have 600 euros to finance activities on the prevention of addictive behaviors through the program of family talks that train and advise families from prevention.
