01 October 2019 - 13: 21

The Lady Elizabeth School He always tries to give voice to his students, who are his main asset. Therefore, after the Climate Strike led by Greta Thunberg, high school students have taken an action to raise awareness about climate change: the delivery of a letter written by themselves and the collection of waste.

Last Friday, September 27, the students of The Lady Elizabeth School came to the center dressed in green instead of their usual uniform. In this way, they sought to celebrate Greenpeace's Climate Strike Awareness Campaign. The students personally delivered a letter to the Town hall de Benitachell, written by themselves, in which they asked for the collaboration of the municipality with The Lady Elizabeth School to face local environmental problems.

Throughout the walk, students collected garbage and debris from the road, sidewalk and shoulders: bottles, plastic bags, tires and even a refrigerator. This action was carried out in collaboration with Rolser, a local company that produces high quality shopping carts. From The Lady Elizabeth School they are delighted by this initiative of their students and are proud of the advances for the local community. In addition, the young people were responsible for collecting donations made by themselves, parents and teachers, destined to charities of the Marina Alta.
