The Department of the Environment of Xàbia has announced the opening of registration to participate in the activities scheduled during the 1st Environment Week, which will take place from June 1 to 8.
One of the featured activities is the “Against Garbage” cleaning day, scheduled for June 1. Those interested in participating must register in advance through this link. During this day, participants will be distributed among three meeting points: the Gorgos riverbed (parking lot of the El Molí nightclub), Cap Prim and the Hermitage of Santa Llúcia.
For the botanical interpretive route on day 2 through the Natural Park, which is organized in collaboration with the Amufor Association (Association of Valencian Forest Municipalities), prior registration is also required. The route will begin at 9:30 a.m. at the Sanctuary of the Mare de Déu dels Angels, passing through the Molins of La Plana and continuing with a visit to a sustainable garden and the Miel Montgó hives.
Beforehand, it is imperative to open the green points without restrictions because since the closure of these green points was implemented, illegal dumping has become widespread.
The recent closure facilities oppose the desire of citizens to classify and deposit waste in appropriate places.
