The Ondara Athletics Club and the Department of Sports of this municipality organize for the Sunday, February 16, the march and mountain race XI Giant of Stone, which will run through the Sierra de Segaria. The popular march can be done walking or running through the natural beauty of this area of the region.
Runners can choose between running 14.500 meters or 21.000 meters; while walkers will have a march of 14.500 meters.
Meaning that this edition of Gegant de Pedra is included, for the second consecutive year, in the II Circuit Trail La Marina which is composed of 13 races in 13 municipalities, most of the Marina Alta such as: Xalò, Pego, Gata de Gorgos, Calp, Callosa, Llíber, Pedreguer, Ondara, Senija, Benissa, Benialí, Orba and Confrides.
Registrations
Those interested in participating can register on the website www.mychip.es, also in person at the Allianz de Ondara Insurance office, located on Doctor Fleming Avenue, 36. The registration fee is 15 euros and participation It is limited to 750 participants.
The departure will be on Sunday 16th at 8:30 a.m. for the runners that make the 21km. For those who do the short test of 14.500 meters will be at 9:05. Both the exit and the finish line are located in the Municipal Park of Segaria.
The participants will go through the entire Sierra Segaria, passing through the municipal terms of Ondara, Beniarbeig, Benimeli, Ràfol d'Almúnia and El Verger.
