Some 150 applicants will perform, during the morning of this Saturday, in the Arenal Beach de Xàbia, the physical tests to be a lifeguard. The Red Cross beach team is in charge of carrying out this selection.
The applicants will be summoned in small groups every half hour by COVID protocol and will carry out two theoretical tests of first aid and aquatic lifeguard knowledge, as well as the personal interview and finally, the swimming test consisting of a 100-meter race through the sand and a swimming test in which you will have to travel 200 meters and will be timed.
The applicants have been preparing, in recent weeks, in the course of First Aid and Aquatic Rescue 2021. The students have received basic training and specialization in rescue in rocky areas.
