Whether for its beaches, the climate or the landscapes, Xàbia is among the 10 favorite destinations chosen by Spanish travelers, according to a survey carried out commissioned by the accommodation platform, Airbnb, to 1.000 adults in Spain between the 15th and the February 17, 2021.
Specifically, Xàbia is in fourth place in the ranking of the most sought-after destinations outside the city by national tourists. Along with Xàbia, other towns in the region have also been valued among the Top 10, such as Dénia and Calpe.
And, traveling is one of the activities that the population has missed the most during the pandemic. According to this study, almost half of those surveyed, 46% of Spanish adults, claimed to prefer traveling to going out for a drink. In fact, the study indicates that 37% of the participants said that, since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic, their priorities when traveling have changed and now they give more importance to safety during travel. Followed by 28% who answered that they now tend to choose destinations that they consider safer and 23% who prefer much closer destinations.
I also don't understand if, just a year ago, Catalonia repudiated tourists ... in front of cruise ships and at airports there were people crowded with banners reading! Tourists out! ..… and all this because they only wanted independentists and illegal immigrants and refugees in their territory because their humanitarian attitude was their symbol.
I no longer clear up.
On the one hand, we have restricted our freedom of movement, curfew, opening limitations, capacity, ... and an endless number of measures to prevent and stop the spread of the coronavirus. And that's fine with me.
But on the other, they encourage us to travel.
