Xàbia presents the new plots for 153 social rental homes

19 December 2022 - 13: 03

The Second Vice President and Minister of Housing and Bioclimatic Architecture, Héctor Illueca, and the Mayor of Jávea, José Chulvi, have met this morning to analyze the municipal plots that the Town hall has offered for the second phase of the comxicotetion for surface rights to build and manage 153 social rental homes.

The Second Vice Presidency plans to launch the second phase of the current tender for plots, but with municipal land to build housing in public-private partnership and allocate them for rent. A performance that would also have aid from European Next Generation funds.

The vice-president has declared that the proposal that contemplates the promotion of 153 homes at a cost of 26,6 million euros has been discussed. "A possible relevant investment not only due to the number of homes under social rental, but also because it is located in a region strongly affected by the harmful effects of mass tourism on housing."

Xàbia contributes 5 plots

As explained by the mayor of Xàbia, José Chulvi, from the City Council a total of five plots located in: Pou de Moro, Calle Bruselas and Calle Génova (with Vía Augusta) are transferred, in which buildings would be raised that would go from 17:48 p.m. up to 153 homes. All of them would add a total of XNUMX floors.

The mayor of Xàbia has affirmed that with this proposal "we try to alleviate one of the most important problems that the municipality has, which is access to housing by young people and those with fewer resources" in a tourist municipality that shoots up prices of the rent.

For its part, Illueca has announced that 40% of these homes will be allocated to young people and has added that these constructions will be developed under a public-private partnership regime and will have 54.105.000 euros within the Aid Program for the construction of housing for social rent of the Next Generation.

Both Chulvi and the Town Planning councillor, Pepa Gisbert, have indicated that the homes will mostly have 1 and 2 bedrooms, although 3 bedrooms will also be offered.

The promotion system for these homes begins when the City Council cedes the land so that the Generalitat subsidizes its construction, which will be carried out by private companies. Then the houses will be rented with a maximum established price (from 260 to 500 euros depending on the meters of the house) to family units
that do not exceed the income of between 2.300 and 2.400 euros per month.

Candelaria House

In the meeting prior to the visit to the plot, the two political leaders discussed the situation of the Xolbi House (Casa Candelaria) and its next reform and rehabilitation. This building is currently in disuse, as it requires an urgent structural consolidation intervention and give it a cultural use as a space for temporary and permanent exhibitions as 'Joaquim Sorolla i l'empremta de Xàbia'.

The regional secretary for housing and Social Function, Alejandro Aguilar, and the councilor for Town Planning and Urban Scene, Pepa Gisbert, also participated in the meeting.

During the visit, the vice president and counselor has signed in the book of honor of the Xàbia City Council.

But are they "luxury" or not? It is not going to be that they clash with so many "millionaires" who "live" in Jávea.

  4. photographer says:

The kingdom of photos and advertisements. The politics in Xàbia of its mayor.

  5. Sorrows of the Soul says:

But with this cold, how come they don't present the project in the Auditorium?

Chulvi, do you seriously think we swallowed your fantasies at the last minute?

    Seriously?

I hope they offer you something that really shines in Valencia, really. We don't deserve such high politics around here, if they fix our potholes we're doing well.

Chulvi, four days away from elections?

    Come on man!!!!

    Do you need votes?

    Anyway…

  7. Luis says:

How sad that social housing is planted as an alternative for inhabitants and residents because the rest is all covered for tourist speculation. This social model is not going well. Between no work and no housing, therefore no future, how do you think the film ends? Like Cuba?
