El Mayor of Xàbia, José Chulvi and the Councilor for Health, Pilar Zamora, have met this morning with the Health Commissioner, Pedro Cervera, responsible for controlling and supervising health care in the region.
This is the first contact between the Town hall and Cervera since he was appointed commissioner last October.
That is why Xàbia has moved from historical deficiencies him for years dragging primary care during the summer. It has been asked to face this year replacement plan ahead vacation medical staff. Another demand has been strengthening the workforce to meet the large population increase living the villa in July and August.
It also has been informed of the efforts made by the City Council face to open in summer an auxiliary office in the Arenal. A compromise accepted by the hospital management last year.
For his part, the commissioner has moved to municipal officials the situation of health concession that will reach all demands. Both sides have called on a future meeting to re-address these issues.
