Xàbia has joined eleven other towns in the Marina Alta to carry out a cultural initiative that will unite the whole region thanks to our building such as riuraus.
This initiative, which seeks to connect the peoples of the region that have these buildings, was born in November driven by the mayor of the EATIM of Jesus Pobre, Scotto di Tella Javier. At that first meeting and participated Xàbia next to Poble Nou, La Xara, Teulada, Llíber, and requested to adhere Pedreguer, Gata and Parcent. To that list subsequently they joined Benissa, Ondara and Jalon, and they must submit the necessary documentation before next February 28.
Those attending the information meeting are working on a report and a declaration of intentions to request funding from the Provincial Council of Alicante, in addition to the logos and signs identifying the route that will be distributed by each population.
The riurau is part of the physiognomy of the Marina Alta as one of the most characteristic buildings, for storage at the time of passing.
