The Councilor for Equality, Montse Villaverde, has read a statement in which he showed the most absolute rejection of gender violence and condemnation of the murder of another woman; "Every day it is more difficult to find words to show our indignation, revulsion and pain, violence again shows the toughest face towards women", Villaverde said.
Monica was 38 years old and lived in Villanueva de Castellón. This young woman has been killed by her partner, officially she is the victim number 15 and 1048 since the data is collected (year 2003). "Machismo kills, murders and destroys women's lives", the mayor has concluded.
From the Valencian Consell, the entire Valencian society has been summoned to continue working for a land free of violence against women.
