Xàbia maintains the 17% reduction in the IBI receipt

31 October 2022 - 12: 04

El Javea Town Hall freezes the receipt of the IBI also next year, thus maintaining the reduction of 17% approved last year.

Councilman Hacienda, Ximo Segarra, explained that last year it was possible to propose a significant reduction in this municipal tax due to the good economic capacity of the City Council and to the fact that the State had suspended the application of the fiscal rules as an extraordinary measure.

“The Government has already confirmed that it is extending this suspension to make economic regulations more flexible for public administrations such as the City Councils and thus make it easier for us to take actions to protect families and companies,” Segarra pointed out, for which the Consistory is already working on proposals with a view to preparing the accounts for the following year.

For the time being and once the IBI voluntary collection campaign for 2022 is over, the mayor can already advance that in 2023 this reduction will be maintained, which has meant that on a global level, the residents of Xàbia save a total of 3 million euros in taxes.

At a particular level, the measure has a different impact in line with the cadastral value of the home, with an average savings of 80 euros.

Mayor, José Chulvi, has added that the Xàbia City Council is in a good position to continue supporting the citizen to the best of its ability to cushion the increase in prices of basic products and essential services in this context of inflation.

Xábia com has nothing to report on Chulvi's non-response in the past about the architect's chalet?
Doesn't the topic seem important to you?

It scares me, then the increase will be good, when the pool is done you will see how they increase it twice as much for lack of payment.
I prefer to pay what I have to then pay double the IBI.

They treat us like fools for telling us that we neighbors are going to save 3 million euros between all of us and 80 on average per home. The majority of Javienses who are owners have flats or rustic houses which do not pay those amounts that they say. The great beneficiaries are the owners of large plots of land and chalets.

3 million euros divided by 27.000 registered people comes to €111 per head. They don't even believe it. Those who are going to save them are the wealthiest who are not even registered.

    Very good socialists!!!
