Xàbia studies and acts in the most controversial points of the municipality

The recent action that has been carried out is the installation of six speed reducing speed bumps on Avenida Juan Carlos I, although it should be noted that during the morning of yesterday, Thursday, one of the speed bumps was missing. These bands have been installed on both sides of each pedestrian crossing that is between the section of the crossing of the Asilo and the Groove.

Mata has indicated that "It has been placed in this section and not in the whole avenue because it is the one with the largest number of pedestrians. In fact, this was one of the requests made by the residents of the Tower building". Also, the mayor said that after the study of this avenue has been considered that the stretch of Asylum to the Via Augusta was not necessary for not having practically neighborhood.

Regarding the problem of the lighting of this same avenue, the Councilor for Services stressed that it is considered in the new improvement project that includes a remodeling of sidewalks and a change of lighting. "We are aware that the installation of this lighting is old and as soon as it rains the light jumps, or some street lamps do not work, and it is planned to change the pictures, but for now we are working on the expropriation of the Santeret land and to start the project ", Kika Mata indicated.

On the other hand, the mayor said that within the improvement measures studied are the possibility of installing a spotlight on the streetlights to give more visibility at the crossings and steps of zebra "Or that the signage is horizontal, painted on the track instead of the vertical"said Mata.
