Mystery, adventure, youth drama are the three aspects that are combined in the new series that is being shot by Movistar + and the Globomedia producer (Grupo MEDIAPRO), 'Paraíso'. A novel fiction in which the area of Levante is the scene of the plot, being Xàbia one of the populations chosen as location. Although from the producer they have not yet confirmed which corner is the chosen one, if it has been revealed that filming, which has already begun, will take place in several towns of the Valencina Community, among them, Calp, Altea and Alfaz del Pi.
'Paradise', Created by Fernando González Molina, Ruth García and David Oliva and directed by Fernando González Molina will consist of 8 episodes of 50 minutes each that will be released in Movistar + this 2020 with the interpretation of Macarena García, Iñaki Ardanaz and Gorka Otxoa in his cast.
The director points out in a statement from Movistar + that the series is a trip to the entertainment cinema that we were passionate about when we were teenagers but also a story about the loss and about the difficulty of being a teenager when you are different, a combination of fiction and mystery based on the Spain of 1992.
The synopsis is based on the end of summer in a town on the coast, where Sandra, Eva and Malena, 15, disappear in a nightclub without a trace. The police don't seem to be looking in the right direction, that's why Javi, Sandra's little brother, begins an investigation with Quino and Álvaro, his best friends, and Zeta, the class bully. Together they discover that those who have their sister are not from this world.
