El Javea Town Hall has called for an extraordinary plenary session on Monday to name Favorite daughter to Milagros Lambert Kostrinski. The informative commission of Culture has raised an opinion requesting this honor for Lambert in recognition of his esteem for Xàbia, the town that saw it born. She has always taken beyond the borders the name of Xàbia, besides having merits as an enterprising woman, artist and editor.
The session thus attends the requests of associations such as "The Cultural Generator"And"Enterprising women", in those who requested that Milagros Lambert receive"the public recognition it deserves from the public".
Milagros Lambert was born in Xàbia the 19 of April of 1930 in a family of French artists based in Portixol. Surrounded by art books and drawings, Milagros begins to take an interest in art and creates her first paintings, before entering the School of Fine Arts in Paris. Between 1953 and 1959 he made exhibitions, some joint with works of his grandfather, André Louis Lambert Perret, and his father, Andrés Lambert Jordan.
A mid 60 immersed in the illustration of children's books, which led it to obtain the International Illustration Award in Bologna. Later he created his own publishing company, also awarded four times with the Ragazzi Award Bolonya. Another professional recognition was the prize of the Ministry of Culture of South Korea, for his books.
Milagros Lambert has always maintained his links with Xàbia and collaborated with the City in various exhibitions of works from the Lambert family. He is a strong advocate of Culture, and through his family legacy, has taken the name of Xàbia beyond our borders. It has maintained its links with the town through the farm that the family has in the Portitxol.
