Xàbia grants aid of up to 8.000 euros to 39 local businessmen affected by the health crisis

November 22 from 2021 - 15: 03

El Javea Town Hall has approved the concession of 267.000 euros within the Paréntesis II aid line co-financed by the Generalitat, the Provincial Council and the local Administration to support the self-employed and small companies whose activity was damaged by the Covid restrictions.

Councilman Hacienda, Ximo Segarra, has explained that these 267.000 euros will be distributed among 39 beneficiaries (who met the requirements of the call), who will receive between 2.300 and 8.000 euros according to the justification of their expenses. The aid will be credited to your accounts over the next few days.

Segarra has pointed out that after this second call, Xàbia has managed to distribute almost 1 million of the 4 million with which the two phases of the Resist plan were endowed, a balance that reflects the administrative effort that has been made and the coordination with the agencies to provide the maximum documentation.

The mayor recalled that the City Council has yet to resolve another line of aid, 100% local and baptized as 'Recover Xàbia' and for which it reserved 600.000 euros, which was launched as a complement to the regional plan and to extend the aid to sectors that had not been able to benefit from the parenthesis plan.

These direct aid are only one part of the social and economic response of the Xàbia City Council to the crisis unleashed by the pandemic. Two employment plans have also been activated - with a third in the preparation phase - social aid has been increased and fiscal measures have been approved such as the exemption from the tax for the occupation of public roads in 2020 and 2021 or the lowering of the IBI for the next fiscal year.
