El Councilor for Citizen Security, Juan Ortolá, the Chief Mayor of the Local Police, José Antonio Monfort, the Head of the Civil Protection Group, José Serra and the Deputy Chief, Rafael Bisquert have visited the Sicur fair these days at the Ifema fairgrounds in Madrid.
Ortolá explained that the reason for visiting this event, which is an international benchmark in security, was to learn first-hand about the trends in which citizen security moves and the applications that may be useful for the municipality.
But also, gathering information about the suppliers of emergency vehicles for the fleet of the Local Police and Civil Protection, "we have been able to see the different options that the market offers to reinforce our fleet, since one of the government's priorities is that both Local Police as Civil Protection

As commented by the Chief Mayor, José Antonio Monfort, the Town hall It has a credit reserve of 85.000 euros to acquire a first intervention vehicle for Civil Protection for forest fires. This new vehicle must incorporate, among others, a water tank, a pump as well as the necessary material for that first intervention.
Furthermore, Monfort has pointed out that at this fair Xàbia has been the protagonist in one of the stands since the company that developed the APP 'Xabia Alerta' has presented it as a cutting-edge technological application at the service of citizen security. An APP that connects neighbors with the Local Police and that allows individuals or businesses to contact the agents when they experience a dangerous situation or send notices when they witness a crime.
