Space Ca Lambert Xàbia hosts an exhibition on the German naturalist Alexander von Humboldt entitled "In nature, everything is connected" starting on Wednesday, November 16. The opening ceremony will start at 19:00 p.m. and has been organized by the Association for the Dissemination of Science and Technology Meridià Zero of Xàbia. This day you can enjoy a talk by Professor Jorge Olcina from the University of Alicante, who will talk about "Geography and climate in Humboldt's work".

The exhibition can be visited until December 23. This exhibition was organized in 2019 by the Museum of Natural Sciences of the Town hall de València on the occasion of the celebration of the 250th birthday of the birth of the geographer. Now his itinerary has been promoted with the purpose of bringing the figure of A. Humboldt closer to the whole of Valencian society and his historic scientific exploration trips such as the one started in 1799 in America or his stay in Spain, where he studied the geographical profile of the peninsula while collecting minerals and plants.

Humboldt not only provided data of enormous interest to some scientific disciplines, such as biology, geology, botany, mining, but also gave the world general notions that are part of the concept of modernity, such as his ideas about democracy or human rights, and, in the ecological field, the concern for the study of the interaction of the forces of nature and how the geographical environment influences plant and animal life.

This scientist also stars in the autumn number of the DAUALDEU scientific and technological magazine published in Xàbia by the Meridià Zero association.
