Although it is not common in the waters of Xàbia, last Friday 1 of November, a boat sighted a specimen of the sunfish about two miles from Cabo de la Nao. It was the 10: 30 hours when Roberto Morales managed to record some images of this curious fish on our coast.
As you can see in the video, this specimen was large, since it can weigh an average of 1000 kg.
According to Morales, author of the video, "This has been the second, this year, that we see in the area, this species. The first was in late August, very close to Cabo de la Nao."
With the sighting of this specimen, uncommon in our waters, it makes citizens aware of the importance of caring for the environment and engaging in the protection of species.
