[VIDEO] This is how El Poble Nou de Benitatxell will turn a robot into a theater actor

The art of cinema, theater and science (no longer fiction) of robotics come together in a project of educational innovation in the CEIP Santa María Magdalena.

Primary school students will learn to program, within the educational innovation project Schedule your Work, a humanoid robot that will be the protagonist, together with the students, of the puppet play or short film that they themselves make and direct. The project is an idea of ​​The Kaleidoscope, Start up of the Miguel Hernández University of Elche, and is supported by the Department of Education of the Town hall of Poble Nou de Benitatxell, by Jorge Pascual.

Schedule your work seeks hybridization between the world of technology, culture and the arts. Start today, January 9, with the training of teachers and tutors in the specialties of Computing at the time of carrying out the programming of robots, as well as Language and Literature and Plastic for the development of scripts, costumes and decorated. The CEIP Santa María Magdalena has been chosen to become a training center to which teachers from the Marina Alta region will attend.

Once teachers have been trained, whose classes will be 9, 16 and 23 in January, teachers will be responsible for teaching students the development of scripts in the language class, the sets and costumes in the departments of Plastic and Drawing , and the programming of robots in Technology and Computing.

Between all they will have to realize the theater play of puppets or the short film. The proposal aims to go further and become a project that creates synergies among students. For this reason, the 24 of May the Higher Polytechnic School of the University of Alicante will host the event "Program your work" where all the participating centers will present their work and projections.
