An earthquake of magnitude 3 in Calp is noted in the region

On the 1: 45 at dawn on Thursday, a tremor in the earth has been noticed on the coast of the Marina Alta. It was an earthquake of magnitude 3'1 on the Richter scale that has occurred off the coast of Calp, about three miles from the coast, as reported by the National Geographic Institute (IGN).

As reported by the IGN, it has also been felt in different populations such as Benissa with a level IV on the intensity scale, which indicates that it has been widely observed but has not caused any damage. Populations in which it has also been noted with intensity III (weak) have been Calp, Gata de Gorgos and Xàbia; and Altea, Dénia and Pedreguer, with an intensity level II (hardly felt). The intensity values ​​of an earthquake range from I to XII.

New tremors

According to IGN, the scare has persisted on the Calpina coast during the night since the 3: 05 and the 3: 25 hours there have been new tremors. The first of scale 2 and the second of 2,2. The epicenter of these two earthquakes has been at 12 km depth being of intensity III.
