A young man of 29 years has been injured in the bullfighting session this afternoon. The man has been attacked by one of the bulls after 20:00 p.m. As witnesses have explained, the young man has jumped from above the fountain to avoid being caught by the bull, but the bull has changed direction and has caught him in the air. Later he has been rammed on several occasions being dragged to the cadafales.
Quickly, the wounded man was transferred to the Dénia hospital in the ambulance together with a doctor. From that moment on, the evening bullfighting events have been suspended and in principle will resume in the night session scheduled for 23:00 p.m.
According to police sources, "the catch did not seem very serious." Witnesses affirm that the young man has not been gored and only had injuries to his lip and hands, although the damage suffered will be determined in more detail after the medical examination.
