On November 2, 1936 something terrible happened between Dénia and Xàbia. In the middle of the Spanish civil war, 21 people were killed in Dénia by 13 uncontrolled left-wing trade unionists (seven belonged to the CNT). After that massacre, their bodies were thrown into the avenc (chasm) of The flat of the Montgó, in Xàbia.
Now, 77 years later, javienses cavers Raúl Ibáñez and Jacobo Ruiz installed climbing routes in several javienses caves, taking advantage also would agree to the pit, the javiense archaeologist Joaquim Bolufer and journalist Eduard Torres have used to rescue a historical fact and tranformarlo in a documentary that reflects the repression in the Civil War and its aftermath.
