El Mayor of Xàbia, José Chulvi, and the councilor for Citizen Security and Emergency Prevention, Pepa Gisbert, have welcomed the three students from the Emergency and Civil Protection training cycle who are doing their internships at the Xàbia Civil Protection Group.
The students, two in the intermediate grade and a third already in the upper cycle, will be during the next months carrying out different tasks related to the prevention of emergencies: from forest surveillance or maintenance of equipment and hydrants to inspection of buildings, support tasks in citizen security or review of the self-protection plans of centers such as Secondary Education.
Xàbia Civil Protection is one of the first groups to have the official accreditation approved by the Valencian Agency for Security and Emergency Response.
This certificate, in addition to guaranteeing them to be able to collaborate with the different consortiums of firefighters and organizations that intervene in the work of extinguishing forest fires, also empowers them to offer official practices to people in training.
