Tomás Sivera exhibits his works in the 'IV Biennial of Valencia Ciutat Vella oberta'

Ciutat Vella Oberta It is a biannual multidisciplinary artistic event that aims to boost the artistic landscape in which neighbors, visitors and tourists can enjoy the work of renowned and emerging artists who open the doors of their workshops, exhibition spaces and museums of the historic center during the edition.

In this 2019 edition, inaugurated yesterday, Tuesday, November 5, it has the presence of the artist from Xàbia, Tomás Sivera. His work, 'Turkana' 1,50x1,50 will be in the Museum of the City of Valencia (Archbishop's Square) until next November 28.

Turkana(name of a population of Africa) is one of the works belonging to the catalog Fum air. The Xàbia artist explains that with this work "the African country is represented. In the painting you can see landscapes, houses and buildings, places where you live with poverty. With colors I reflect the African situation. Red represents the blood of those who died from slavery, colonization and wars , the black, the African person, the yellow the mineral wealth, the green the forests and natural wealth and the blue the water that surrounds Africa. "

It should be noted that Sivera leaves its mark where it passes; and proof of this are the different awards and mentions he is getting with his latest works. Also, Tomás Sivera will be present, next December 5 in Benissa with a small retrospective in the Center d'Art Workshop Ivars. In addition, with the new catalog, the painter collects the different paintings made with the technique Fumage and that are included in the collection Displacements.
