The new update of data on the situation of the pandemic published by Sanitat returns to bring bad news to the Marina Alta. Today, December 10, 2021, a cumulative incidence per 100.000 inhabitants of 313,55 has been observed, which represents an increase of more than 40 points. This is 160 new cases, somewhat less than the last update in which there were 194.
However, the worst news comes from the municipality of Teulada-Moraira, where a new death has occurred. In total, in the town, there are 17 deaths since the beginning of the pandemic. For this reason, the region has already registered 214 deaths.
By municipalities, those that have registered the most new infections are Dénia with 33, Xàbia with 27, Teulada-Moraira 18, Benissa 17, Pedreguer 16 and Orba 11. On the other hand, Calp has registered 3 positives, Pego 8, Ondara 4, Gata de Gorgos 2, El Verger 8, Benitatxell 2, Xaló 2, Els Poblets 1, Beniarbeig 1, Parcent 4, Vall de Laguar 2 and Vall de Gallinera 3.
The total number of cases since the start of the pandemic in the Marina Alta is 15.792, of which 72 are currently active.
With the new positives, the cumulative incidence in Xàbia stands at 296,26 cases per 100.000 inhabitants.
