Services will explain to the neighborhood groups the new system of use of the green points of Xàbia

09 March 2023 - 15: 27

The Department of Services and the company in charge of waste management (Tetma) will meet with neighborhood groups to explain the new operating model of the green points. As indicated by the mayor of services, "the first to be summoned will be the residents of the Pinosol area."

The meeting, which is open to anyone interested, will be held on Thursday, March 16 at 10:00 in the morning in the park and will discuss the current situation of the green points and the expected changes. And it is that for a few months, the Town hall it is installing video surveillance and fencing these enclosures with which the selective collection of urban waste of domestic origin in the disseminated is facilitated.

This is a measure to stop its uncivil use and spills outside the containers or the abandonment of belongings, furniture, materials or plant remains at an industrial level. There are already several green points that have enclosures but for the moment they are still equally accessible to everyone since the access doors can be opened without a key or card, just by pressing a button.

Mata has indicated that it will not activate any card use system without previously coordinating it with users so that today they can continue using the green point that is most convenient for them. Always civic.

To find out first-hand information about the card-controlled access plans and how the census will be carried out and distributed among the residents who have it assigned, as well as to find out how to properly manage waste and the important benefits that your collaboration entails for both the environment as well as for the economy of the municipality itself, come to the Pinosol Park meeting.

The councilors of Services will attend, Kika Mata and Residents, Doris Courcelles, to answer any questions or suggestions from those present.

Management of the Green Point

The waste that can be deposited in the Punts Verds are the organic fraction, light packaging, paper and cardboard, glass, vegetable oil, clothing and footwear, and household garden waste. The rest must be taken to the Ecopark (in the Camí de Les Sorts or the Catarroges area (for plant remains, which is free for individuals).

Also in relation to the green points, the councilor has taken the opportunity to clarify that the large-capacity containers that -to this day- are being used to collect green waste "are provisionally so as not to leave users without service until they the definitive ones arrive” that will be smaller and more accessible.

Access to the green waste bins needs to be made safer. At Rafalet I had to climb between two bins with no handrail and with waste littering the steps. I only just avoided falling. I won't be going there again. If there is no safe access for a pensioner to bins for garden waste it will go in the organic bin.

As long as that is closed, the Field will be filled with rubble, mattresses, cans of paint, oil, doors and other things that one can imagine, EVERYTHING.

Open 24 hours and unlimited downloads, otherwise we already know.

    The day God distributed brains...

It's already happening. Walking through the countryside, you can already see waste lying everywhere. They have shined, come on!

  3. Miquel says:

There is nothing to explain here.
The solution to the problem of uncontrolled dumping was as easy as security cameras connected to the police.
Whoever leaves garbage outside maximum penalty.
What a shame of money wasted on closures and being able to allocate them to more important and urgent things.
As in hiring more cleaning staff than Jávea, the streets are sad.
