The Ministry has reported, a moment ago, after the meeting held, that from Monday March 16 classes are suspended, indefinitely, for the time being, until a new order, as indicated by the Minister, Vicent Marzà, in all educational centers and at all levels of the Valencian Community. Universities, Baccalaureate, Secondary and Infant Education, Kindergartens, Vocational Training both in public and private and concerted centers.
This decision has been taken as a preventive measure to the situation that is being experienced in the country by the coronavirus and following the sanitary and scientific criteria of the specialists of the Ministry and the Ministry.
The Ministry has also explained that the educational staff and families will receive information in the coming days in order to continue teaching from their homes.
The President of the Generalitat, Ximo Puig, has stated that this decision is intended "Make every effort to end this difficult situation."
The Minister of Education, Culture and Sport has highlighted that the temporary suspension of academic activity "It was not an easy decision, but the evolution of events has made it absolutely necessary to adopt a measure of these dimensions."
Marzà has indicated that teaching, non-teaching, administration and services personnel, as well as any other that provides services in public and subsidized educational centers, will generally attend educational centers. In addition, the center's management may promote distance or blended work systems when they guarantee the continuity and monitoring of the educational activities provided for in this resolution.

Although at the moment there is no official notice that there is any case in the Marina Alta, the Ministry of Health has confirmed that in total there are 98 active cases in the Valencian Community:
