Sanitary restrictions in force are extended until July 15

29 June 2021 - 14: 34

The President of the Generalitat Valenciana, Ximo Puig, and the Minister of Health, Ana Barceló, have appeared a few minutes ago, after the meeting of the Interdepartmental Table for Prevention and Action against COVID-19, to report on the new COVID measures . Both regional officials have indicated that the current measures are renewed for 15 more days, so they will remain from July 1 to July 15.

Puig has indicated that we must remain alert to the situation since in recent days there has been a rebound in infections in the Community, "going from an accumulated incidence of 40 cases 15 days ago to 75 today", so measures cannot relax.

The only exception to the established measures, as announced by the councilor, is that the opening of the festive venues, such as the Fallas' houses, is allowed, being the opening and closing hours of these premises, regulated by the municipalities.

Regarding the recommendation of the use of the mask, the president has indicated that it is recommended that the mask continue to be used outdoors, except in natural spaces and on the beaches. In this sense, he has called for prudence, and has urged to pay special attention both to the use of the mask and to the ventilation of closed spaces.

Regarding this last aspect, he stressed that the Ministry of Health has prepared a guide with basic indications to keep interior spaces ventilated, which can be consulted on the website and will be distributed by places such as shops, hotels, bars, restaurants cinemas, theaters or museums.

Vaccination

With regard to the vaccination process, the president has stated that he is making great strides since 1,6 million vaccinated with a complete schedule have been reached. Ximo Puig stressed that "there are only two months left to achieve group immunity. Now, the most vulnerable segment is those between 15 and 29 years old", which is why "the vaccination process will be accelerated as much as possible."

The president has ensured that "the vaccination of young people is now a priority", so that starting Monday the vaccination will begin from 30 to 39 years, that is, 12 days before schedule.
