Starting this Tuesday, January 28, the pedestrian crossing through the Triana Bridge (at the mouth of the Gorgos river) will be closed before the start of the previous works for its demolition and reconstruction. The construction company that is in charge of this public work, very necessary to guarantee the safety of this road section and improve the aesthetics of a point on the first line of the coast, is already coordinating with the municipal water company (Amjasa) to remove an old pipeline and also to clear the bridge of other service network infrastructures, such as telephony.
Parallel to these previous works, the construction company (Vilor SL) has already commissioned the prefabricated structure of what will be the new bridge. The new bridge, with a single eye, will also feature lighting on the railings over the river and its adaptation for people with reduced mobility. The work, awarded for a budget of 487.381 euros, has an execution period of 12 weeks.
