The Department of Universal Health and Public Health will begin, this Friday, the summons to administer, starting next week, the second dose of vaccination to people under 60 years of age who received the first dose of immunization with AstraZeneca.
The summons will be made via SMS and a second dose will be offered with Pfizer. However, the person contacted will be told how to proceed with their decision to reject this vaccine as a second dose. In that case, you will be scheduled again to be vaccinated with AstraZeneca.
This procedure is aligned with the agreement reached by the Public Health Commission that decided to administer Pfizer as a second dose, as well as with the decision adopted by the Interterritorial Council of the National Health System which, after consultation with the Bioethics Committee, agreed that those who refuse the second dose with Pfizer and, in order to ensure the full schedule, they can be vaccinated with AstraZeneca.
