29 July 2019 - 12: 13

On Sunday morning, a group of divers who dived in the southern part of the Cap de Sant Martí de Xàbia, rescued a turtle 'silly' that was trapped between nets and plastics.

As explained by the director of the Dive Dive Center Jorge Palacios, "We saw the turtle floating and we put it on our boat where we tried to take away the nets, when we could not, we arrived on land where we finally managed to release it and called the 112".

Palacios explains to Xàbia.com that the turtle was in good condition and had no injuries, "We think it would take a day at most tangled, even if I hadn't found it, maybe it wouldn't have lasted more than one more day."

After being released by the divers, the turtle was picked up by Oceanogràfic technicians who will try to recover it and in a few weeks it will be released again to the sea.

From the diving center that saved it, Revolution Dive, they have indicated that they offer a totally free boat for the day of release and want to send a message of awareness to the citizens to take care of the environment and the marine environment.

After giving the notice, agents from the Local Police of Xàbia and the SEPRONA also attended.
