The Ministry of Health has updated the data by municipalities of the impact of the coronavirus, taking into account the records added since Tuesday in each health department. In this update, the figures for new daily positives increase slightly in the Marina Alta.
The Dénia health department, on which the entire Marina Alta depends, has notified 169 new positives in the last update compared to the 113 registered last Tuesday, which brings to 9.509 the total of cases registered since last March.
Currently, of the total positives, there are 455 active cases, which places the incidence at 264,93 infections per 100.000 inhabitants in the region.
In the case of Xàbia, the number of new infections compared to the previous day, has increased. In the new update, the town adds 39 new cases compared to 10 last Tuesday. In this way, the number of positives since the beginning of the pandemic has risen to 1.401, of which there are 59 active. The incidence stands at 213,74 cases per 100.000 inhabitants.
Deaths and positives in the region
On the other hand, the Marina Alta adds, in the new data update provided by the Ministry, four deaths due to the coronavirus, registering in the towns of Calp, Benissa, Pedreguer and Vall d'Ebo. With the new cases, the number of deaths from COVID-19 in the region since March is 164.
Regarding the new infections in the municipalities of the Marina Alta: Dénia registers 40, Calp 19, Benissa 16, Teulada 13, Ondara 11, Pego 8, El Verger 7, Pedreguer 5, Orba 3, Gata de Gorgos 3, Beniarbeig 2 , Xaló 2 and Benidoleig 1.
