During the month of July, the exhibition cycle on Balenciaga closed with some 10.000 visitors. Now in August, in the second month, this figure has been exceeded, breaking the record of attendees; being a total of 13.000 people who have passed through the three rooms. In this way, since 'The Balenciaga Century' was inaugurated, more than 23.000 visits have been accumulated.
In the month of August, the most visited room was the Soler Blasco Museum, with 5.205 visitors. As for the other two rooms, the Center d'Art Lambert, located in the Casa de Tena, has received 5.149 visits and the Casa del Cable, in the port of Xàbia, 3.011.
The exhibition cycle will remain open until September 30, but it will be on the 23rd when one of the highlights of 'The Balenciaga Century' will take place: the recital The sound of its two shores; with music from the Basque and Mediterranean coasts performed by the soprano Teresa Albero and the pianist Jesús Gómez.
The councilman of Culture, Quico Moragues, wanted to highlight that "it is important to complement the tourist offer of Xàbia these summer months with quality cultural proposals, such as The Balenciaga century, and the visitor data supports it”.
