What measures come into effect in Phase 3 in the Valencian Community?

Starting this Monday, June 15, as announced yesterday by the Ministry of Health, the entire Valencian Community and therefore, the Marina Alta region, will pass to phase 3 of the Plan for De-escalation; phase 3 and last before returning to the new normal.

A normality that will be different from what we lived before the coronavirus pandemic arrived. However, in the Valencian Community, entry to Phase 3 will be different from other autonomous communities, since the Valencian government has the power to determine other permits or restrictions to those already established by the Ministry.

In this way, the New measures that will be in force during this new phase (Phase 3) in the Valencian Community announced by the President are:

  • Mobility: The displacements between all the provinces of the Community will be allowed, reason why the Valencian citizens will be able to move to their second residences.
  • Meetings: social gatherings or meetings extend their capacity up to 20 people, always using extreme security measures.
  • Time zones: This limitation disappears completely for all ages and activities, thus allowing practicing sports or walking at any time of the day.
  • Public spaces and playgrounds: Once phase 3 has entered, public spaces and thus their facilities are reopened. The Javea Town Hall has reported that next week all outdoor facilities will be unsealed.
  • Restaurants and nightlife: bars and restaurants may serve at the bars. The interior will increase its capacity to 75%, always complying with the safety distance and on terraces it becomes 100%. As for pubs and discotheques, the maximum capacity allowed at its reopening will be one third, complying with the security measures and distance, although the dance floors must be kept closed.
  • Cinemas, theaters and museums: the capacity of cinemas and theaters will increase to 75%. In the case of museums, they can also open with 75% of their capacity and visits can only be in groups of up to 20 people. The outdoor events will be for a maximum of 800 people.
  • Libraries: Libraries may reopen their doors for study without exceeding 75% of their capacity.
  • Sport: Practicing outdoor sports will no longer have a schedule and the closed facilities for non-professional athletes are reopened at 50% of their capacity and with groups of up to 20 people. The use of changing rooms and showers will also be allowed and sports comxicotetions will resume.
  • Shops: The capacity of stores remains at 50% ensuring the safety distance. In the case of malls, they will be able to use the common areas again and the capacity will also be up to 50% of their capacity. Open-air markets increase their capacity by up to 50%.
  • Hotels: They will be able to open with a capacity of up to 75%, just like in the common areas of hotels and tourist accommodation.
  • Public transport: All public transport seats may be occupied and in the event that they must be standing, they must comply with a separation of 2 meters.
  • Wake: The capacity will be up to 50 people outdoors and 25 indoors. Also in burials and cremations the maximum limit of 50 people must be respected.
  • Wedding: The maximum capacity is up to 75%, provided that it does not exceed 150 people in open spaces and 75 in closed spaces.
  • Places of worship: As with weddings, places of worship may not exceed 75% of their capacity.
