What is happening with the works of the municipal swimming pool of Xàbia? These are the explanations of the Councilor for Contracting

28 2022 April - 18: 05

The works of the Municipal Pool continue to bring tail. After learning that the construction company had requested more budget alleging the increase in the cost of materials due to the covid-19 crisis and the war in Ukraine, the councilor for Finance and Contracting, Ximo Segarra, has given explanations through their social networks.

According to Segarra, "the company requests more money covered by a Royal Decree-Law approved by the Council of Ministers, specifically Decree 3/2022 of March 1, which establishes exceptional price review measures in public works contracts The government of Spain made this modification by which it is allowed to modify the prices of construction contracts (until now it could not be done) by up to 20% due to the increase in the cost of materials and raw materials.

In this sense, the councilor explained that the municipal technicians are already analyzing the proposal so that, in accordance with current regulations and legislation, they can determine whether the contract modification is appropriate or not. "Given the current situation, the company has the right to claim what it considers and it has done so. Obviously, both the company and the Town hall are harmed by the increase in the cost of materials, but of course we are not going to give up the Municipal Pool".

Segarra has also wanted to differentiate this situation from that of the auditorium. "I hope I have explained the issue more clearly and from here make a call for calm, because the work is continuing. While some are wishing there was any problem to pour out their hatred and bad words towards the local government, we continue working" .

  1. Marisa Andrea Fraccarolli says:

What is the name of the company that won the tender?

  2. Carlos says:

I will continue to go to the pool in Benitaxell, OK. I have lived in Xabia for almost two years, and this mayor is the most incompetent of the many I have met. Good Luck, Xabia!

  3. sonia kleyman says:

    ……..and where is our auditorium?

    • Luis says:

Why do you want «your» Auditorium? For XFactor? In English I guess because they sing in Spanish and he doesn't understand it.

  4. sonia kleyman says:

If Chulvi had been satisfied with the original plan for a modest swimming pool for the use of the residents it could have been completed by now – but, no, he wanted a bigger pool, at a greater cost, to accommodate national comxicotetions so he could reap the glory and get more photo opportunities. Now a large sum of money has already been spent, the estimated cost has gone up even more and we have nothing.

  5. Peter Amat says:

The council chaired by Chulvi is incapable of managing anything at all. They have been reaping failures one after another. Mr. Mayor, do nothing else, it is better for the people to go for a walk and take photos but do not try to do any more projects, which will fill Jávea with paralyzed works.

  6. his fucking mother says:

Let's see, this guy should start by looking up the word "work" in the dictionary, which is neither more nor less than what he was fleeing from when he got into politics to touch the cataplines with two hands, mess it up like a good incompetent ( that due to his allergy to effort he had not even studied what he was playing) and without any training, without known talent or the slightest applicable ability, he has been in a government that in 2 legislatures HAS NOT HAD A WORK IN PEACE. Let's remember:

    •Mountain 2
    •Trenc d'Alba
    •Thiviers
    • Triana Bridge
    •Sewer (x2)
•Fire that does not stop (at the landfill)
•Fire that does not stop (burning Jávea in 2 years without 0 maintenance)
    •Audience
    • Floods in the sand without any reaction beyond "some day we will do something"

And it's the people who want to pour hate WHILE THEY WORK, ole your eggs Mariloli.

  7. Vecino says:

Wrong words from a politician who does not admit the guilt of a city council incapable of managing a town.
Also the blame for what happens with the police force is invented, right? Blame the cops.
Who's to blame for the ramblars? The citizens.
    The auditorium? The citizens.
    The school? The citizens
    Temporary Glory? The citizens.
Everything that goes wrong for the city council is the fault of the citizens.
Have the courage to admit that you don't know how to govern and resign now, don't make a fool of yourself anymore.

    • po zi says:

But we can't even complain, because that's "pouring hate". You have to pour "smiles" while they mess it up in each work, intoxicate us with fire or are unable to manage the shit in the sewers.

How are they going to fix anything with that attitude? What preparation does this boy have to respond like that? The same as to take care of the hiring of a town like Jávea?

      • Socialist, is to be demanding says:

You have shone, Mr. Segarra. You are the one who insults considering that commenting and criticizing is the product of hate and you are pure
        and those who work.
Bad very bad. Take note, explain, communicate, dialogue. But really, not mouth and posture. Don't do us "favors." You are young, do not deform yourself.

    • Antonio says:

Don't strain. That is the socialist religion. They are all the same and this one was not going to be better. Of course, the band of those who vote for him, you have to think that they are like them

  8. Sarah Waltz says:

What suffering, constant, to have such incapable people managing Jávea.

What an embarrassment they give. Tremendous.

  9. Ignacio says:

Yes, whatever they want. Who pays for the work? Citizens, so paying others it is very easy to make laws and make decisions. What are they still working on? Yes, with other people's money.

    • Mario says:

A pity his inability to communicate his idea.
Impossible to know what he means to say.

      • Oh my god says:

He means to say that we have to applaud them while they mess it up play after play. What it is not his fault. That it is a coincidence that this only happens in Jávea (not that they paralyze a work, THAT THEY PARALYZE ALL OF THEM IN 8 YEARS).

      • Ignacio says:

Mario and Go for God, Inability of you to understand that we pay. Whatever they decide and whatever excuse the City Council may say, have you not yet realized that you are paying for the "supposed errors" of the institutions? No wonder they have trouble understanding my comment…Who do you think is paying? Our dads? Come on, we're older now.

        • The one that was missing says:

Ignacio, you express yourself like the ass. If you have an idea, which I doubt, it's a fucking mystery. And surely you are wrong.

Courage, you could be part of this council.
