The Sorolla Museum foundation, within the Sorolla Centenary initiative, has organized an excursion in Xàbia that will culminate in a sunset in the town that was a source of inspiration for the artist. It will be this Saturday, October 14.
Framed within the “Sail in the Art of Sorolla” experience, the excursion titled “Sunset with Sorolla in Jávea” includes a guided walking tour of the corners where Sorolla lived and painted in Xàbia. The meeting will be at 16:45 p.m., at the statue of the painter in the town.
At 17:00 p.m. the walking route will begin and at 18:00 p.m. the boat departure will take place to see the sunset, spotting the places that inspired the painter, accompanied by an art historian who will guide the excursion. The experience will end at 19:30 p.m., when the boat returns to the xabier port.
