The Denia Marina Hospital Health has welcomed this morning the first Health Council held in the Department of Health of Dénia, after the elections last May 24.
The main point on the agenda was the appointment of the Mayor of Ondara, Zeus Serrano, Chairman of the Board of Health. In addition, in the council directive, Pere Cervera, has been appointed vice-president and Juan Cardona ranks of secreteario.
The meeting, convened by the Commissioner of the Department of Universal Sanitad and Public Health, was chaired by Pere Cervera and representing the same institution, were present: Inmaculada Simó, Director of Nursing at the Hospital La Pedrera; Pascual Martí, Director of the Center for Public Health and Rosario Baydal Dénia, optional Home Hospitalization Department of Health of Dénia.
On behalf of Marina Salud, Juan Cardona, Assistance Director of the Dénia Health Department, has been present and, representing the town halls of the Marina Alta, Zeus Serrano, mayor of Ondara; Cristina Morera, Councilor for Health of the Town hall of Dénia and Rosana Caselles, Councilor for Health of the Teulada-Moraira City Council.
Health Council is also formed by a representation of business organizations, led by Sonja Dietz, President of CEDMA and Angel Vives Cano, President of the Business Tourist Association Vall del Pop. Trade unions have been represented by Vicente Salvador Bolta and Mª Luz Montes. For his part, José Antonio Morillo and Antonia Femenía have come on behalf of consumer organizations and users. Finally Rosa Prats, was the person responsible for representing the Official College of Pharmacists in the province of Alicante.
What is the Health Council?
It is an organ of social representation, which constitutes each 24 health departments in which the map of public health in Valencia is divided.
The health councils respond to the guiding principles of the Statute of Autonomy of the Valencian Region, which, through the 10 / 2014 Law, of 29 in December, reflects the firm will to have an active participation of the community in the design of health policies, in the orientation and assessment of the Valencian Health System and in public health actions.
