The Department of Services of the Town hall de Jávea is opening a series of drainage wells in Coll Verd street, in Costa Nova, to facilitate the drainage of rain and thus avoid the flooding that some points in this area suffer when there are heavy rains.
Councilwoman responsible, Kika MataAnd the mayor, José Chulvi, have supervised the work in this residential area of La Guardia with which it is hoped to solve the problems of water accumulation, which in episodes of persistent rain even prevent neighbors from entering and leaving their homes and force bodies of Security as Protection Civil or firefighters have to make drains.
The drainage wells consist of an opening in the asphalt and subsequent excavation until finding elements that allow to filter in the natural terrain the runoff water of the adjoining impermeable surfaces. To maintain security in the streets, they will be covered with boxes.
