The Department of Territorial Policy, Public Works and Mobility is going to order its technical team to carry out a study to address the economic, competence and environmental viability of the regeneration of the area of the Tangó Creek, in the municipality of Xàbia, with the aim of analyzing the different options that can be carried out so that this enclave can recover the characteristics and appearance it had in previous decades.
This is how the Minister for Territorial Policy, Arcadi Spain, transferred it to the Mayor of Xàbia, José Chulvi, in the meeting that they have held to address the situation of this beach, a meeting that was also attended by the General Director of Ports, Airports and Coasts, Maria Luisa Martínez.
During the meeting, the head of Public Works remarked that it is essential to achieve 'combine sustainability and safety' in any action carried out in the area.
The minister and the mayor have coincided in pointing out the notable increase in the investment that the General Directorate of ports has allocated to the port of Xàbia, which amounts to more than 2.000.000 euros in 2021.
Within these investments, the repair work of the harbor breakwater damaged by the storm will be carried out, with the aim of reinforcing the safety of residents. This improvement work, whose budget amounts to 150.000 euros, has a favorable report from the Natural Park Montgó.
