10 September 2018 - 11: 52

The past 28 of August was stopped, in Dénia, a woman of 25 years of age, accused of cheating eleven people from nine different locations through web pages of sale. Apparently, the young woman offered articles on different websites for a price well below its real value.

The investigation began in the wake of the complaint of one of its victims in the 2016 year. The modus operandi was very similar in all cases. The detainee offered several items at a low cost and when they reached an agreement through the chat on the sales page, she asked for money in advance for the shipment, alleging a bad economic situation. The victims paid the established amount but the shipment was never made.

The police officers carried out an arduous investigation due to the fact that the accusations were very dispersed throughout the Spanish geography: Palencia, Murcia, Cádiz, Valencia, Benidorm, Elche, Gandia, Fuenlabrada and Castellón and spaced out in time.

The different templates where the complaints were filed were coordinated to identify and locate the person who was committing the scams, achieving his arrest in Dénia. The detainee, who has numerous police records, was placed at the disposal of the Court of Instruction acting as guard
accused of allegedly committing several crimes of fraud.
