The group Podemos Xàbia has claimed Javea Town Hall that it adopt the necessary measures to guarantee the right to strike to all the workers of the consistory, as well as to the rest of the personnel that wants to support this strike.
The Circle of Podemos has recalled that unions have announced that they give legal coverage to this international women's strike promoted by numerous organizations of the feminist movement around the world. This training considers that "to the unacceptable sexist violence, which in Spain has meant the murder of more than 1.000 women in just 14 years, the infamous consequences that in the 21st century have inequality between women and men in all the world".
According to the writing of Podemos, "Inequality is manifested daily in multiple areas but, without a doubt, in the labor field it is where it is presented in a more evident way: the gender wage gap is 20% in favor of men, becoming in the Greater Valencian Community ".
From Podemos remember that "Migrant women are subject to more precarious working conditions than migrant men, being exposed to longer working hours and access to more limited social protection." Also, as pointed out by the manifesto of Podemos Xàbia, "Violence against women in the workplace is an unacceptable reality: only in the European Union the 32% of the 55% of women who claim to have experienced sexual harassment have suffered it in their post of work".
