January 28 from 2020 - 14: 55

Last Sunday, January 26, dozens of people left the coast of Xàbia to clean their image because of the severe weather suffered last week. Hundreds of waste from the bottom of the sea were taken ashore: plastic bottles, barrels, boat upholstery, slippers, as well as fish, tires, bags, etc.

In search of a quick solution and prevent this waste from returning to the sea, volunteer groups Plastic patrol y Javea I love you. Clean, mobilized together to collect the waste that the great storm had expelled.

Both were concentrated in the northern jetty of the port of Xàbia, in the green lighthouse, and in the Punta del Arenal area and collected dozens of garbage bags of debris that floated in the water or were among the rocks.

From Javea I love you. Limpia points out in their social networks that they accumulated a total of three cubic meters of garbage in less than an hour and a half. This was the first of the many outings that both voluntary groups will make in the coming weeks to continue improving the state of the beaches and coves of Xàbia.

From the Services area of the Javea Town Hall They appreciate the good will and help of all the people who are involved in the cleanings, and point out that for the groups that are forming for other outings, "from services bags, gloves and all the material that is needed in these days are provided, in addition to coordinating and then collecting the bags."
