The Professor of Musical Technology of the Superior Conservatory of Music Joaquín Rodrigo de València, Pere Vicalet, will offer a conference on sonology at the Professional Conservatory of Xàbia. It will be next Thursday, February 6 at 18 pm in the auditorium of the Conservatory itself.
The conference Between music and technology: Digital Art, constitutes a historical journey through the points of musical inflection to place us in the main creations and technological projects. It will bring technology, digital music and numerous other innovative issues to all those who want to approach. It is aimed at the students of the conservatories who are finishing their professional studies and all those people with concerns as musical as related to new technologies.
Admission is free and limited to the capacity of the auditorium of the Professional Conservatory of Xàbia which, once again, bets to be at the head of the latest musical trends and programs an interesting activity for students and also for teachers of the rest of schools.
Pere Vicalet, born in Gata de Gorgos, is postulated as one of the young Spanish promises in the technological-musical field. "The baton of the future" He was the headline with which he appeared in the press at the beginning of 2017 after debuting as director at the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía de València and premiering the electronic opera "La Mare dels Peixos".
He is also the winner of the Young Prize of the Valencian Community in the category of Culture and later with only twenty-nine years, he was nominated as Principal Director of the young Band of the Federation of Musical Societies of the Valencian Community. In the digital field he has created and researched different softwares related to musical pedagogy, visual and sound creation and real-time processes through sensors. Without a doubt, music, video and technology have a special meaning in the multidisciplinary times that are running and this is summed up in the pioneering musical work of this young musician.
