The update of data from the Ministry of Health on the evolution of the coronavirus by municipalities marks a large decrease in infections since the last day. In the last 4 days, the number of new positive cases in the Marina Alta is 32, undoubtedly an optimal figure for the end of the spread of the virus compared to the 169 that were counted last Friday.
This good figure places the Dénia Health Department, with an incidence of the coronavirus in 139,16 cases per 100.000 inhabitants. Currently, the region has 239 active cases of the 9541 confirmed positives since the pandemic began.
By municipalities
Of the 32 infections registered by the Ministry, Xàbia has added 4, compared to 39 last week, which causes the incidence in the town to be somewhat lower than the global one in the region, being 123,17 cases per 100.000 population.
The rest of infections (which add up to 34) have been recorded in Calp 10, Dénia 5, Ondara 5, Pego 3, Teulada 2, Benissa 1, El Verger 1, Beniarbeig 1, Orba 1 and Xaló 1.
The bad news of the new data is given by the registered deaths. In the last 4 days, 5 residents of the Marina Alta have lost their lives due to COVID-19. The deaths correspond to the populations of Dénia, Calp, Benissa, Ondara and Pedreguer.
