Thousands of people invade the streets of Xàbia Historica with the Halloween parade

31 October 2017 - 20: 16

Resounding success. That is the balance of the children's parade organized by the Historical Association of Xàbia on the occasion of Halloween. Although it is a party of origin, undoubtedly, every year comes more to the Spanish countries and Xàbia is witness to it. In the afternoon of Tuesday, on the eve of All Saints, as tradition marks, Xàbia Historica has lived a great Halloween day with the participation of thousands of people.

Children, fathers, mothers and in general, families, have gone out dressed in their most terrifying disguises: Skeletons, monsters, draculas, makeup and a host of fictional characters have occupied the historic center giving a good atmosphere. And, the party installed in the Placeta del Convent has been a world of fun.

And regarding the winners of this edition of Halloween 2017, the prizes for the best costumes have been for: Arnau Camprubí, award for the most terrifying costume and Ruth Castaño, award for the most original costume.

This party (?), Imported from the United States (where, apparently, it was imported by the Irish who immigrated there), seems tacky to me. Dressing children in bloody puppets I think is in terrible bad taste, but as the Spanish seem that in order to have a party, we do whatever it takes ... Anyway, it's my opinion and I suppose that many parents will be very proud of what they they do with their children ...
