The government delegate in Valencia, Juan Carlos Moragues, and the head of the Provincial Coastal Service, Rosa de los Rios, with the mayor of Benitatxell, Josep Femenia, visited Tuesday, works to improve access to viewpoint the failure of Moraig of Benitachell.
The new path has a distance of 290 meters and runs along the coast of Moraig reaching one of tourist and geological enclaves such as the fault, offering during the ride, wonderful views with the Falqui Hill, the Cova dels Arcs and the cove of the Moraig.
The rehabilitation and improvement of this path has been carried out by the Town hall of El Poble Nou de Benitatxell and the General Directorate of Coasts. The action has involved a cost of 19.233 euros and has lasted three months.
As explained by the head of Costas, the work done have been very costly "Since a new path has been created because the ground was very deteriorated and there were floods, so steps have been built, railings have been installed and replaced and in this way the accessibility to the fault has been improved."
The path is now open to the public and as indicated from Costas, each year thousands of hikers visit, "Now we are waiting for the behavior of the works in front of a torrential rain to take the necessary measures in their case."
