More than 50 Civil Defense volunteers in the Marina Alta received their diplomas in Xàbia

A total of 52 Civil Protection volunteers from different towns in the Marina Alta collected yesterday in Xàbia the diplomas as approved by the Valencian Institute of Public Safety and Emergencies (IVASPE) after having attended a 40-hour training course promoted by the Town hall.

The diplomas were presented by the director general of the Agency for Safety and Emergency Response, José María Ángel, the mayor, José Chulvi, And Council of Civil Protection, José Luis LuengoAnd Public Safety, Pepa Gisbert.

Public officials defended the increasing role of bodies such as civil protection to the security challenges facing society and, therefore, were convinced that volunteers are well trained to improve their responsiveness in first aid, intervention in fire or search for and locate missing persons to management and traffic control.

Emergency both the director and the mayor thanked the new volunteers approved their selfless and altruistic work for the benefit of the whole society and pledged their full support to improve their media and training.

Before approaching congratulate the new members of Civil Protection, Emergency responsible met at City Hall with the mayor and those responsible for security both political and police to discuss coordination issues.
