More than 1000 fire evacuees in Xàbia

From early morning hours on 7.30, 10 air assets of the Generalitat work to extinguish the fire which runs in the municipality of Xàbia from Sunday. According to police, early today were already 1000, people evacuated as a safety precaution. We recall that the developments evacuated so far are Villes to Vent, Cansalades Park, Valley of the Sun, Valsol, Pinomar, Pinosol, Tossalet, Toscal, Entrepinos Cap Martí, Costa Nova, La Guardia Park, Adsubia-Toscamar, La Colina, La Finca and Altos de Cabanes. Last night, the fire jumped the camí Cabanes and had to leave the camping Naranjal.

According to official sources, a total of 279 people have spent the night in the shelter set up at the IES Antoni Llidó, attended by Red Cross volunteers (which has mobilized media from municipalities such as Dénia, Benidorm and Alicante) and by the councilors of the Town hall. Another 122 people have been rehoused in private homes and 110 in the shelter set up in Benitatxell. The evicted who have spent the night at the IES Antoni Llidó claim to have been well cared for.
